Career Edge Program Certification Courses in Information Technology towards Global Competency. The Career Edge Program (CEP) is a series of certification courses offered to Grade 12 pass-out students and also to those students who have work experience and want to become professionals in Information Technology. In order to provide relevant industry inputs, the Program is broken upto into various streams of specialization, which are mapped onto market requirements and personal preferences of students. 

The CEP program aims at making the student a thorough IT professional – qualified both for the local and international job markets and is conducted by Globally Certified Trainers and using contents developed and designed by leading global software giants like Microsoft, Cisco and Oracle. To ensure learning objectives are met, there is a ongoing focus on live case studies and relevant examples from industry to make the students understand the subject matter in depth. Given below is an outline of the three Certification tracks that are on offer to students currently: Track 1 - CEP – Networking: Certificate in Hardware and Networking Track 2 - CEP – Web Design: Certificate Program in Web Design Track 3 - CEP – Programming: Certificate in Java Programming Duration: Each of the above tracks comprises of 2 Semesters in one Academic year. Each Semester has 13 weeks, and training is conducted in sessions of 2.5 hours daily, 5 times a week. Certificate awarded jointly by Pomtech and Datec on successful completion of course and outcomes.

Please refer Annexure for details on the above Certificate Tracks Registration Process: Prospective students need to fill in the POMTECH-Datec Center of Excellence registration form and submit their Grade 12 certificate and other documents specified in the registration form. Payment Details: Total Fee per Semester is Kina 4345.00 inclusive of GST Payment to be in advance before program commencement. There will be no refunds. Other Product Details

Courseware and other learning material: Datec will provide courseware for the courses included in each semester. The courseware will be in the form of either printed material or published books or CDs, depending upon the course. The courseware may entail separate payments as necessary. In case of vendor certification programs, onwards, authorized vendor training material will be provided as per the chosen subject. Free Technology Upgrade: Datec recognizes the pace at which technology changes and understands how the skills in an earlier semester can be obsolete by the time of completion of the course. In order to protect the student from such situations, the APDIT program has the provision where a free upgrade to the new technology will be given to the student in the final semester. This will ensure that when the student leaves the classroom for his/her internship and future on-the-job training, he/she has contemporarily relevant skills. Examinations and mock tests: An end-semester examination will be conducted to validate the learning of the student through the semester. Besides, mock tests will be conducted in the final semester to reinforce the learning of the student along his/her line of specialization and prepare for the actual vendor certification exam. 

The performance of each student will be based on the weightage given to the tests, assignments/ projects and end-semester examination. Vendor Certifications: Beyond the qualification offered by Datec and POMTECH, each student will be provided during the final semester with vendor certification tests for the technology he/ she desires to build his career in and get industry-recognized international certification, at additional cost, as may be levied upon by the testing vendor. Superior Infrastructure: The students will enjoy a truly world-class learning environment with a learning environment, completely conducive to learning and labs with state-of-the-art machines, overhead projectors and training aids. Faculty: The trainers for the CEP program are trainers possessing a high level of expertise in the subjects they conduct training in. Terms and Conditions All students are advised to go through the below carefully. Admission to the program will be strictly under these terms and conditions.

1. Students are expected to maintain overall discipline and decorum in the training premises and follow all rules and regulations set down by POMTECH students’ code of ethics.

2. In case of student dropping out, except in exceptional cases, there will be no refund of fee

3. Students are not permitted to use cell phones during training sessions.

4. Student ID cards must be displayed prominently by the students at all times on premises. Students will not be allowed into the training premises without a valid student Identification Card.

5. In addition to stipulations passed from time to time by Datec Learning Centers, students for the CEP must comply and adhere with all rules and regulations of POMTECH.

6. All academic credits and regulations will be as per Unitech rules. This will include examinations and pass grades and policies.

7. Registration of candidates must be made on timelines specified else the candidature will be removed and offered to other eligible candidates.

8. Payment for the course is up front at time of registration

9. Refunds are not allowed once Datec Learning Centers and POMTECH haveconfirmed the candidature

10. Completion of studies and graduation will be dictated as per norms of POMTECH
