STUDENT'S CODE OF BEHAVIOUR

The governing Council and the staff of Port Moresby Technical College extend a warm welcome to all incoming students.

“Live and let others live” is the principle that binds the college community together. As members of the college community you are required to live up to this principle, and conduct yourselves with dignity and decorum throughout the course of your studies at the college. This booklet will help you do just that, please read through it carefully.

Special mention is made that the Students “Code of Behaviour” has been compiled by the Disciplinary Sub-Committee of the Governing Council in close liaison with the Students’ Representative Council, and finally approved at a full meeting of the Governing Council after prolonged discussions. The provisions of the Code will apply to all students undertaking full-time or part-time courses/study at Port Moresby Technical College.

These rules were approved at the full Governing Council Meeting 3/2010, 21st October 2010. The Education Act of 1983 states that Governing Councils are the body that makes rules for National Institutions and once the rules are agreed the rules become a LEGAL DOCUMENT. Any person that signs this document is legally bound by it.
